Hennie Schroeder

Hennie Klussmann Schroeder, 95, widow of Erich H. Schroeder, passed away January 31, 2011 in The Care Center of Brenham. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church, with Pastors Matthew Jacobs and William Holzer officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Born in the William Penn Community on August 27, 1915 to Fritz and Johanna Marzahn Klussmann, Hennie was baptized and confirmed in Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn. After attending area schools, she married Erich H. Schroeder on November 11, 1937, also at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She later became a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Survivors include her son, Lee Schroeder and wife Barbara, and her daughter, Betty Schroeder; grandchildren: Jennifer and Brian Lorenz, Sheila and Scott Neumann, and Shelby and Grant Parker; great-grandchildren: Joshua Neumann, Jordan Neumann, Kourtney Lorenz, Karley Lorenz, and Kolbie Parker; sister, Johanna Emshoff and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers are Wallace Klussmann, Landon Klussmann, Vernon Klussmann, Wayne Klussmann, Rayburn Klussmann, Raymond Klussmann, Karlton Klussmann, and Randy Klussmann. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Emshoff and Lawrence Hemann. Mrs. Schroeder was preceded in death by her husband , Erich H. Schroder on April 23, 1980, and parents, Fritz and Johanna Klussmann.
