Henry Joseph Dusek, Jr., 88, of Brenham, died July 9, 2006, at Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mr. Dusek was born June 15, 1918, in Wesley, to Henry and Emma Guthmann Dusek. He was baptized Nov. 3, 1918, in Wesley Brethren Church by Joseph Hegar and was confirmed Jan. 2, 1938, in the same church by the same pastor. On Jan. 12, 1941, he was married to Elda Koehler at Welcome Lutheran Church by Pastor I.M. Mansure. Mr. Dusek was a retired carpenter for Walter Thielemann Construction and was also formerly employed by his son-in-law, Glynn Dreyer Sheet Metal. Survivors include his wife, Elda Dusek of Brenham; one daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Glynn Dreyer of Brenham; two grandchildren, Dana Bolcerek and husband Tommy and Don Dreyer and wife Janie; two great-grandchildren, Chance and Chad Bolcerek; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Shannon Burger and fiancé Ronnie Psencik and Jeffery Burger; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Esther and Alvin Schulz; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Lad Janes; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Otto and Lisette Koehler; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Emmit and Leona Schulz and Lee and Adline Koehler. The family will receive visitors from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 11 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 12 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine with Pastor Larry Henrichs officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews, cousins and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Trinity Care Center employees and past employees of Walter Thielemann Construction. Memorials may be given to Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine.
