Herbert Wayne Faithauer, 75, passed away on April 15, 2025. Herbert was born in Brenham, Texas on October 17, 1949, to Herbert and Linda Faithauer.
Herbert was born and raised in Brenham, Texas and attended Brenham schools. In his teenage years he was very proud to be involved in the Senior League World Series Baseball Tournament where his team finished in second place. After high school he married Mary Jane Encinias and together they raised two children. They were married for 40 years before deciding to go separate ways but remained friends. While they were married Herbert continued to play in the local softball leagues and he enjoyed horseshoes, pool, darts, poker, pitch, fishing and cooking barbecue, stews and chili for family and friends. Herbert was a woodcraftsman and worked for Maddox Furniture for over 20 years. As he got older he enjoyed gardening, yardwork and listening and dancing to country music, also spending time with friends and especially his special friend of 15 years, Judy Savelle.
Herbert is preceded in death by his parents. Left behind to cherish his memory are his children; Anthony Faithauer and April Bilski, the mother of his children, Mary Jane Faithauer, special friend Judy Savelle, his brother; Charles Faithauer (Lisa), his sister; Linda Brinkman (Douglas), grandchildren; Brittany Joswiak (Jacob), Shelby Glona (Chris) and Garrett Bilski, great-grandchildren; Chloe and Mason Glona and Pierson Joswiak.
A visitation for Herbert will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel located at 1306 W. Main Street, Brenham, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church located at 305 W. Third Street, Brenham, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers will be : Anthony Faithauer, April Bilski, Garrett Bilski, Chris Glona, Jacob Joswiak, Douglas Brinkman and Kevin Adams. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Charles Faithauer.
