Herman Joseph Bilski, Sr., 66, of Houston, died May 18, 2006, at his residence. Mr. Bilski was born Nov. 17, 1939, to Stanley and Pelagia Twardowski Bilski. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham. He served in the Army during the Bay of Pigs era. Mr. Bilski was a member of KJZT and Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his three children, Herman Joseph Bilski, Jr. and wife Bonnie Gail of Houston, Deborah Jean Kuritza and husband Paul R. of Willis and Douglas Louis Bilski of Houston; five grandchildren, Victoria Ashley Bilski, Hannah Lauren Bilski, Joseph Brandon Bilski, Joshua Paul Kuritza and Deborah Holly Kuritza; two sisters, Clara Lindermann and husband Marvin of Sealy and Mary Ann Pawlak and husband Harry of Bellville; and an uncle, Max Twardowski of Brenham. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Theresa Carter; and an infant brother. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday, May 22 in Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. The funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 23 in St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham with Msgr. Benedict Zientek, celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Brenham.
