Hernan Guzman Hernandez, 65, husband of Maria F. Sorto, died May 20, 2014 in Brenham. Funeral services are scheduled for 9 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2014 at St. Mary''s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. A Rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Hernan Hernandez was born June 8, 1948 in El Salvador to Esteban Hernandez Cruz and Maria Dolores Guzman. On March 12, 2001, he was married to Maria Francisca Sorto, and the family made their home in Brenham. Hernan was employed as custodian at Artex Manufacturing in Brenham. Survivors include his wife, Maria Francisca Sorto of Brenham; sons and daughters-in-law Paulo and Martha Sorto of Houston; Juan Alberto and Guadalupe Sorto of Burton; Jose Hernan Guzman and Brenda Reyes of Houston; Jose and Sandra Sorto of Brenham, and Santos Lazaro Sorto and Karla Sirias of Brenham; daughters Maria Del Carmen Sanchez, Maria DeLa Paz Lopez and husband Fidel, and Paula Guzman, all of Brenham; grandchildren Karina Sorto, Valeria Sanchez, Karla Sorto, Vanessa Sanchez, Anahi Guzman, Alexander Guzman, Cristian Guzman, Sofia Mendoza, Kimberly Sorto, and Andre'' Sorto. Mr. Hernandez was preceded in death by Maria Francisca Sorto, Jose Sorto, and Angus Arredondo. Serving as pallbearers are Jose Guzman, Andres Guzman, Paulo Sorto, Juan Alberto Sorto, Hernan Guzman, Jose Sorto, Santos Lazaro Sorto, and Alexander Gusman.
