Hildegard Hueske

Hildegard Webernick Hueske, 89, widow of Robert L. Hueske, passed away Friday, April 03, 2009, in Gazebo Terrace Convalescent Center. Mrs. Hueske was born September 9, 1919 to Otto and Hulda Jeske Webernick in the Live Oak Community. She was baptized at home in the Live Oak Community and confirmed in 1931 at the Prairie Hill Church. On November 19, 1939, she married Robert L Hueske in Prairie Hill Church, with Rev. P. Gogolin officiating. Mrs. Hueske attended Prairie Hill schools and later became an LVN and was employed by Burton Nursing Home, Brenham Rest Home and retired as School Nurse with Brenham Independent School District. Mrs. Hueske was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Salem and enjoyed her special group of friends the Dorcas Circle Ladies, and her great-grandchildren gave her great pleasure with the time they shared together. She also loved her desserts, normally she ate them first, before her meals. Survivors include her son Arthur E. Mickey Hueske and wife, Shirley; sisters Edna Jurries of Caldwell and Irma Webernick of Brenham; grandchildren Jason and Julie Hueske and Jamie and Chris McCain; great grandchildren Claire Hueske, Addie, Braden and Kade McCain all of Brenham. Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert L. Hueske, March 16, 1966; sister and brother-in-law Hilma and Henry Loesch, sister Alma Webernick and brother-in-law Vernon Jurries. Funeral services for Hildegard Hueske will be held 4:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2009 at Salem Lutheran Church of Salem with Rev. Lydia Paterson and Rev. Charles Parnell officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will be held Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Serving as pallbearers are Wilton Wilton, Marshall Baxter, Tony Jurries, Garrett Lockley, Jason Hueske and Chris McCain. Memorials may be directed to Salem Lutheran Church of Salem or to a favorite charity. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
