Homer Lorenz

Homer Earl Lorenz, 62, of Brenham, died June 20, 2007. Mr. Lorenz was born August 6, 1944 in Brenham to Lonnie H. and Dorothy M. Loesch Lorenz. He married Ruby Elizabeth Miles in 1975 in Houston, Texas. Mr. Lorenz was educated in Harris County schools in Houston and served in the US Army, stationed in Germany from 1965 to 1967. He was a truck driver by profession. He is survived by his sisters, Glenda Casey and husband Gordon of Magnolia; Sandra Jordan and husband Walter of Wharton, and Lois Meier and husband Thomas of Brenham; his aunt and uncle, Emma Bell and Leroy Steinfeld of Brenham and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lorenz, and his parents. Graveside services for Homer Earl Lorenz will be held Tuesday, June 26 at 11:00 a.m. at the Houston National Cemetery in Houston. A visitation will be held Monday, June 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. His nephews will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be given to Faith Mission in Brenham. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel.
