Hulen Badke

Hulen De Puddy Badke, 78, of Brenham, died April 8, 2005, in Bluebonnet Hills Care Center in Brenham. Mr. Badke was born Sept. 21, 1926, in Winedale, Texas, to Theodore and Louise Neese Badke. He was baptized and confirmed in Martin Luther Lutheran Church of Carmine. He attended Harrmon School. Mr. Badke was a rancher. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Leatrice and Dan Marek of Warrenton; sister, Theodora Sommerfeld of Brenham; sister-in-law, Dorecel Badke of Brenham; two nieces, Dorothy Giese and Jo Lynn Acosta; and a nephew, Douglas Badke. He was preceded in death by one brother. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10 in Foehner Funeral Home in Burton with Rev. E. Glynn Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in La Bahia Cemetery, near Burton. Pallbearers will be Hilton Thompson, Claude Lewis, Lance Giese, Laton Giese and Lee McCabe. Honorary pallbearer will be Johnnie Bethke.
