Ida May Schroeder, 80, of Washington, died February 10, 2006, at her residence.
Mrs. Schroeder was born May 12, 1925, in Round Top, Texas, to Herman and Annie Wendorf Klar. She was baptized in Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine and was confirmed on April 6, 1941, in St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham. She attended Brenham schools. On Dec. 30, 1945, she was married to Ira Lee Schroeder in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in William Penn. Mrs. Schroeder was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in William Penn and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her children, Edith Erwin of Washington; James Schroeder and wife Jackie of Brenham and Brenda Flisowski and husband Albin of Brenham; grandchildren, Lisa Powers and husband John, Joshua Schroeder and wife Jana, Justin Schroeder and wife Ashlea, Dax Flisowski, Jaci Sonnenburg, Scott Sonnenburg, Trevor Flisowski and wife Lori, Trista Gleason and husband Jeff and Treysen Flisowski and wife Kristi; great-grandchildren, Maylee, Blake and Dawson Powers, Clayton and Colin Schroeder, Bryson and Aarron Flisowski, Keaton and Kaylee Gleason and Gavrielle, Katie and Jaylen Flisowski; sister, Mary Ann Heckmann of Brenham; and sisters-in-law, Oleta Mertins of Brenham and Adele Klar of Marble Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers. The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12 at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in William Penn with Pastor Eldor J. Harmann officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lance Searle, Randall Kohring, Ethan Boggan, Michael Kohring, Rodney Gandy and Russell Kohring. Honorary pallbearer will be Landon Kohring.
Memorials may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church in William Penn.
