Jack Edward "Tebo" Ray, Jr., 52, of Somerville, died July 3, 2015, in Somerville, TX. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 8 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 9 at St. John''s United Church of Christ in Burton with Pastor Glen Schoeneberg officiating. Tebo was born July 23, 1962, in Houston, TX, to Jack Edward Sr. and Jerlene Hoff Ray. He was a 1981 graduate of Burton High School and attended Cedar Valley Junior College, where he obtained his motorcycle mechanic certificate. A loving father, grandpa and husband, Tebo put his family first in everything he did. He was also a son, brother, uncle and friend who was loved by many and will be deeply missed. In 1983 Tebo married Marsha Flentge and to this union three sons were born. Tebo taught Michael, Mitchell and Tyler the value of family and hard work. He was always there for them, no matter what they needed. He gave the biggest hugs and always made sure to tell his family he loved them. In 2013 Tebo married Merry Jo Callahan. Tebo had a one-of-a-kind personality and could always be counted on for a good laugh. He was tough as nails, yet very kind-hearted. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His hobbies included building hot rods, motorcross races with Fred, fishing, shooting pool, playing horseshoes, riding his motorcycle, spending time with his kids and grandbabies, and singing karaoke. Tebo worked for Leslie Tesch Distributing delivering Pearl Beer and later was employed as a printer at CCT and in maintenance at Blue Bell Creameries. He was also a motorcycle mechanic and skilled carpenter who could fix anything that was broken because he was the "Jack-of-all-trades". Survivors include his wife, Merry Jo Ray of Somerville; mother, Jerlene Ray of Brenham; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Rachel Ray, Mitchell and Tracy Ray and Tyler and Renee Ray, all of Brenham; grandchildren, Jack Mitchell Ray, Jay Gilmore, Karris Gilmore, Tyler Gilmore and Kaci Gilmore; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Keith Schoenemann of Burton, Jackie Ray of Brenham and Rene Ray and Justin Wostarek of Brenham; aunts, Shirley Hoff and Florence Hoff; cousin, Larry Hoff and Erich Hoff; nieces and nephews, Misty and Kevin Lucherk, Kacey and Chad Weiss, Nick and Ashley Goldberg, Kyle and Karen Roemer, Kurt and April Roemer, Hannah Roemer, Megan and Chris Brewster; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Ray Sr.; uncle, Lawrence Hoff Jr.; brother-in-law, Lemroy Goldberg; grandparents, Lawrence and Linda Hoff, Walter Jackson and Willie Ray. Memorials may be directed to St. John''s United Church of Christ in Burton. Funeral arrangements for Jack "Tebo" Ray Jr. are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W.
