Jacqueline Lucille Young Schindler Wallace, 83, passed away June 3, 2015 at Burleson St. Joseph Health Center in Caldwell. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Pastor Virgil Pecht officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Jacqueline was born October 18, 1931 in Brenham to Luther Johnson and Maye Belle Wood Young. She married E.L. "Bubba" Schindler on August 16, 1950. He preceded her in death on February 11, 1988, after 38 years of marriage. On June 29, 1996, she married Robert Wallace. As a homemaker, she treasured time spent with her family, and loved baking cakes, pies and other desserts for them to enjoy. Gardening was also a favorite hobby. Survivors include her husband, Robert Wallace of Brenham; daughter and son-in-law Debra Lynn and David Sager of Bastrop; grandson, Matthew Sager and wife Jenna of Oak Hill; great-granddaughters Kloey, Katie and Kamryn Sager; brother and sisters-in-law L. J. and Mary Young of Conroe and Josephine Helm of Brenham; sisters Lavelle Zander and Gayle Maresh of Houston, and Judy Kettrick and husband Fred of Independence. Other surviving relatives are stepsons Doug Wallace and wife Karen, Larry Wallace and wife Linda, James Wallace and Cliff Wallace, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband E. L. "Bubba" Schindler; son, James Dale Schindler, and a brother, Wayne Young.
