James Clay

James Sheppard Clay, 59, of Schulenburg, TX., passed away on October 27, 2015 at his residence. Graveside Service will be on October 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Independence Cemetery with Pastor Jill Vivroux officiating. Visitation with the family and friends will be Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. James was born on November 14, 1955 to Thomas C. and Leigh Ruth McCauley Clay in Brenham. He did floor installations until his retirement. On June 23, 2012 James married Terry Lynn Hunter. He loved riding his Harley whenever he could. Survivors include: his wife Terry of Schulenburg, TX. sons: Jason Paul Lucas of Houston, Brian Douglas Maynard of Brenham, and Chris Allen Maynard of Chappel Hill, daughters: Crystal Leigh Clay of Brenham, Rebecca Ann Perez of College Station, and Jeniffer Hope Maynard of Spring, brothers and sisters-in-law: Finney Mack and Donna Clay, Tommy and Florence Clay, and David Jones and Patty Clay all of Brenham, grandchild: David Martinez Jr., and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, son: Tommy Clay, and his 2nd wife Becky Clay. Serving as pallbearers are: Brian Douglas Maynard, Chris Allen Maynard, Travis Clay, Josh Clay, Jason Paul Lucas, and Casie Clay. Memorials may be given to a charity of your choice.
