James Harrell, Jr.

James Eugene Harrell, Jr., 92, of Brenham , TX passed on the morning of Saturday, August 11, 2012. He was the only child of James and Laura Stanley Harrell of Port Arthur, TX. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Alice Worley Harrell, his sons J. Richard and Gary P. Harrell , his grandchildren Sherry Grumbles and Zander Ray, and his great grandchildren, Zoe and Zachariah Grumbles. Jim graduated from Rice University in 1943 with a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering, and the South Texas School of Law with his Juris Doctorate in 1970. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1970. Jim parleyed his brilliant mind and solid education into a rich, full life that he shared with his wife, Alice, traveling the world widely and enjoying what the world has to offer. He will be deeply missed by the many who love him. Services will be held Monday, August 13, 2012 at 11:00a.m at Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham , TX .
