James A. Littrell passed away Saturday, March 18, 2006, at a local nursing home. He was born June 16, 1921, in Springdale, Arkansas, served his country in WWII and was involved in the building industry for 55 years. He and his wife moved to Brenham in 1973, and he was the manager of Boettcher Building Center. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Maxine; and brother, Richard. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Muriel; sons, Jim Littrell, Jr., and Charlie Littrell and wife Carol; grandchildren, Debbie Ventura and husband James, Dana Littrell, Denise McWhorter and husband Jason, James Willis IV, Dory Hood and husband Scott; and great-grandchildren, Josiah McWhorter and Scotty, Anna, Abbie and Andy Hood. Visitation will be Monday, March 20 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 21 at 3:00 p.m. at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham with Rev. Villard Hunter officiating. Service arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St. Brenham.
