James White

James Richard “Dick” White, 49, of Buda, TX, died December 20, 2018 in Austin.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, Brenham, Texas. The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27 at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Barry Stubbs officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27 at Kyle Cemetery Co. Road 136, 2601 South Old Stagecoach Rd. Kyle, Texas 78640.

Dick was born November 6, 1969, in Houston, to James Lee (Jim) and Betty (Lowther) White. He was a 1988 graduate of Brenham High School, where he played football. He attended Blinn College and Le Chef College of Hospitality Careers of Austin, Texas. Dick was a supervisor for Night Hawk Frozen Foods and was a member of First Baptist Church in Brenham.

Survivors include his mother, Betty White of Brenham; sister and brother-in-law, Wendy and Barry Stubbs; nephew, Dylan Lane Stubbs; niece, Morgan Elizabeth Stubbs; uncle and aunts, Royce and Shirley White and Lena Lovett; and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Lee White; grandparents, James Grey and Sadie Rebecca Pruitt White, and Robert and Mary Hart Lowther.

Memorials may be directed to the Brenham First Baptist Church Building Fund or www.rettsyndrome.org in honor of his niece’s disability.
