Jamie Juanita Oliver Cegielski, 79, of Chappell Hill, wife of Eugene Cegielski, died February 2, 2012 in Brenham. Survivors include her husband, Eugene Cegielski of Chappell Hill; son, Alan Cegielski; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Chris Santiff, all of Houston; grandchildren, Shawn and Citlalli Santiff, Shannon and John Crawley, Shane Santiff, Shanber Santiff, Cayla Cegielski, Logan Cegielski, and James Thomas; great-grandchildren, Brittany and Chase Crawley, and Vincent Santiff; sister, Bobbie Long of Stephenville, sister-in-law, Lillian Harper and husband Bob of Brenham; sister-in-law, Jean Oliver of Bellville; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. Preceding Jamie in death were her parents, James and Evelyn Oliver; son, Paul Thomas; sister, Golda Wortham; and her brother, John Oliver. Born March 21, 1932 in Edna, Texas to James and Evelyn Hobson Oliver, Jamie was beloved wife to husband Gene for almost 45 years. Earlier in life she worked for Pasadena ISD, Houston Supply Co, and ultimately retired from Macy''s, having worked for a number of years as a retail clerk. She endeared herself to many people, and was an amazing wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma. Jamie loved living in Aberdeen, Scotland with Gene and travelling all over the United Kingdom. Travelling with Gene on his many business trips such as Singapore, London and Canada, she also enjoyed not to mention travelling in general to places like Hawaii and Acapulco. Some of her favorite past times were Casino trips to play the Slot Machines, playing cards with kids and grandkids especially Skip Bo, doing crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, gardening especially her flowerbeds, Christmas Eve at the Cegielski''s was always one of her favorite times and over the years she made Christmas stockings for almost every member of her immediate family and many friends. At Christmas she would proudly display the stockings and all the other Christmas crafts she so lovingly made. Jamie and her sisters Golda and Bobbie shared a love for nutcrackers and they had quite a collection. She also enjoyed doing many other crafts with her sisters Golda and Bobbie. Jamie also was never afraid to share her opinion on most any topic. She was truly a special lady and will be dearly missed by all who knew her!!! WE LOVE YOU JAMIE!!! Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Pastor David Hall officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Chappell Hill. Visitation will be from 7 until 9 p.m., Monday, Feb. 6 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Serving as pallbearers are Jeff King, Kevin Cegielski, Mark Cegielski, Shane Santiff, Shawn Santiff, and James Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Allen, Bob Harper, and Hugo Martinez. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association, or to the American Lung Association.
