Jane Clee

January 9, 1945 — June 17, 2018

Jane Annabella (Graham) Clee went to her eternal rest with Jesus on Sunday June 17, 2018 after a brief illness at her home in Chappell Hill, Texas. A celebration of life for Jane Clee will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 23 at First Baptist Church Chappell Hill, 7675 FM 2447 in Chappell Hill, with Dr. Melvin McKinney and Rev. David Beckworth officiating. The family will be receiving friends Friday June 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham Texas. Graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston Texas.

Jane was born in Toronto, Canada on January 9th, 1945, and was raised in southern Ontario with occasional extended trips to her mother’s native Northern Ireland, until her future husband Ted followed her on one of those trips to bring her back as his bride. After two years they immigrated to Houston, Texas in 1973 for work in the oil industry, and Jane quickly became mother to Sarah and a dedicated homemaker. During this time the family converted from the Anglican Church and each found a personal relationship with Jesus Christ at Evangelistic Temple. When her daughter passed away after 22 years, Jane was not ready to retire from being a mother, so Alexander and Vitaly were adopted from Russia and challenged her parenting skills for yet another 22 years, mostly in Chappell Hill where they became active members of First Baptist Church of Chappell Hill.

Jane used her wonderful soprano voice to sing praises to the Lord in choir and solos, and was a consummate hostess, frequently entertaining eclectic gatherings of family, friends, and neighbors at dinner or afternoon tea.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Gertrude Graham, her sister Lynda Graham, and her daughter Sarah Clee. She is survived by her loving husband Ted and sons Alexander and Vitaly, as well as her brother Brian Graham and his wife Donna, and their children Lynne Graham-Seguin and David Graham.

Memorial gifts may be directed to First Baptist Church of Chappell Hill, PO Box 207, Chappell Hill TX 77426 or online at fbcch.net.
