Jane Eloise Little, age 68, died April 20, 2021 in Zionsville, Texas. Her services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021 at the Zion Lutheran Church with Karen Buck officiating.
Jane was born to Calvin Adolph and Veradell (Hodde) Lehde on January 7, 1953 in Brenham, Texas. She was baptized on February 22, 1953 and confirmed April 3, 1966. Jane was married to Ralph Knapp on June 1, 1975. She married Jonathan Little on October 11, 1991.
Jane represented the community as the Washington County Fair Queen in 1968, and played 2nd trombone in the Brenham Marching Band. She graduated from Texas Women’s University with a BSN and practiced as a Registered Nurse. She was active in the Burton Bridge Ministry. She served her community as Vice President of her church council and was an avid gardener. She kept chickens, guineas, peacocks, cats and dogs. Jane will be remembered as the best mother and friend a person could ask for.
Mrs. Little is survived by her mother, Veradell (Hodde) Lehde; husband, Jon Little; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan Mack Little and wife Sarah (Schmidt) Little; sons, Justin Porter Little and Patrick Chase Little; daughter Dyan Paige Knapp; daughter and son-in-law, Angela Claire (Knapp) O’Brien and husband Michael O’ Brien; daughter, Leslie Llana-Beth Little; brother and sister-in-law, Gregory Lehde and wife Linda; brother, Robin Stowe; sister and brother-in-law, Dinah and Allen Niemeyer; and granddaughter, Evelyn Jane O’ Brien. Jane is preceded in death by her father, Calvin Lehde.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Warren Niemeyer, Myles Niemeyer, Truitt Niemeyer, Landon Lehde, Michael O’ Brien, Eric Otto, and Leslie Boehnemann.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, TX 77833.
