Jannet Rosenbaum, 87, of Brenham, TX, died on July 29, 2023.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery with Pastor Glenn Hohlt officiating.
She was born on August 13, 1935 in the Phillipsburg Community to Erich and Erna Schwettmann Thiel. She was baptized on September 29, 1935 and later confirmed both at Salem Lutheran Church. She married her husband, Earl Rosenbaum, on June 9, 1963 at Salem Lutheran Church officiated by Pastor Oelke.
Jannet attended Phillipsburg School. She retired from Burton School District after twenty-four years. She attended Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking and was famous for her homemade coffee cake, fried chicken and sweet rice.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and wife Tammy Rosenbaum of Brenham, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and husband Doyle Krause of Bleiblerville, TX; grandchildren, Kara Rosenbaum, Carson Krause and fiancé Tyler Bond, Garett Krause and special friend Braylee Schomburg; great-grandchildren, Luke Wienken; caregivers, Joyce Gantt and Vickie Taylor Jones; sister-in-law, Dorothy Thiel; and nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Rosenbaum; parents, Erich and Erna Thiel; mother-in-law, and father-in-law, Rosa Lee, Wilkening Rosembaum and August Rosenbaum; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Milton Eckermann; brother, Erwin Thiel; and nephew, Milton Butch Eckermann Jr.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Michael Wienken, Andrew Eckert, Tommy Roehling, Richard Boyd, Mike Randermann, Jerry Hermann, Bruce Randermann, and Lary Rosenbaum.
Memorials may be directed to Zionsville Lutheran Church.
