Jeanette Runge

Jeanette Goessler Runge passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Onalaska, Texas.

Jeanette was born on November 25, 1930 in Brenham TX to Herbert and Alvina Goessler. Always having a yearn to live in the big city, Jeanette and her husband Burnett Runge, moved to Houston in 1950 where they raised a family of three wonderful children. After Burnett’s passing, Jeanette remained in Houston working for Joske’s (now Dillards) for several years before retiring in 1996. While working at Joske’s in 1976, Jeanette met her second life partner John Kutcher, with whom she remained with until her death.

Jeanette always had her own creative sense of style bearing vibrant shades of colors and accents. This was especially true in her style of dress and her flower gardens. Never shy about trying new things, Jeanette could always be counted on as the one who could always pull together bold threads and make them look absolutely fabulous. She would always shoot straight and give her honest opinion on any subject! Jeanette’s arrival to an occasion was always fashionable and her entrance signaled that the festivities were ready to begin.

Jeanette is survived by her current partner, John Kutcher; son & daughter in law, Monte & Rhonda Runge; grandsons, Mark Runge, Jonathon Runge and Corey Paulson; granddaughters, Rebecca Canizaro, Nicole Lusk, Vera Paulson and Paige Runge; and 8 great grand children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Alvina Goessler; husband, Burnett “Jack” Runge; daughter, Marie Annette Paulson; and son, Mark Burnett Runge.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham TX with interment following in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Pastor Pat Lehrer will officiate.

Visitation will precede the service from 2 until 3 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Funeral arrangements for Jeanette Goessler Runge are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham.
