Jerome Heintz

Jerome Heintz, 67, of Hempstead, died Sept. 2, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Brenham. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, Sept. 7 from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Mr. Heintz was born Nov. 23, 1945 in Brenham, TX, to Michael and Lillian Christ Heintz. He was a 1963 graduate of Brenham High School. He was very proud of his service to his country as a U.S. Marine in Vietnam. On Jan. 12, 1974, he was married to Peggy Ann Sisti, in Humble. He enjoyed working on his farm, tending his animals, gardening, flint knapping, and was a strong believer in his ideals. He loved spending time with his grandsons and was a great care giver to his wife, especially during her illness in the past few years. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Ann Heintz of Hempstead; son, Jason Heintz of Hempstead; daughters, Kristen Payne and husband Thomas of Hempstead and Kimberly Jo Heintz of Galveston; brother, Dennis Heintz of Richmond; sisters, Doris Emerson of Brenham, Theresa Heintz of Houston, Rita Partain and husband Steve of Houston, Michaelene Matthews of New Braunfels and Marie Vaydak of Houston, sister-in-laws, Coralee Casey and husband Don of Katy, and Lena Heintz of Houston; and grandsons, Hayden Thomas Payne and Collin Michael Payne; and many nieces and nephews: Jamie Kollman, Courtney Smith, Amy Heintz, Dire Heintz, Kelly Knox, Shannon Pfaff, Lonnie Matthews, Robert Matthews and their respective families. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers James Vaydak and Fabian Heintz. Pallbearers will be: Dennis Heintz, Thomas Payne, Robert Smith, Barry Blue, Herbert Bierwinkel, Barry Hannath, Charles Dempsey, LE Borgstedte.
