Jerry Richardson

Jerry Lee Richardson, 70, of Brenham, died Nov. 6, 2006, at his residence. Mr. Richardson was born Dec. 12, 1935, in Cogar, Oklahoma, to Isaac Jacob and Eva Lancaster Richardson. He was baptized and confirmed Dec. 23, 1984 in St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. On May 1, 1954, he was married to Carrie Laverne Wieghat in St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. Mr. Richardson was a retired oilfield worker and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Judi Lea and Larry Dean Davis and Jerri Lynn and William Schaefer Mitchell, all of Brenham; three grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Davis and special friend Brent Michalak, Preston Lee Davis and special friend Olivia Gomez and Tyler Joseph Campbell and special friend Ashley Matthews; two step grandchildren, Schaefer Mitchell and Asic Mitchell; one brother and three sisters-in-law, Farris Eugene and Joyce Richardson of Portland and Zeke Richardson of Alice and Sybel Richardson of Binger, Oklahoma; and two sisters, Pauline Warf of Cornersville, Tennessee and Wanda Mae Dickson of Van Buren, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Richardson, on May 6, 2006; four brothers; and his parents. The family will receive visitors at Memorial Oaks Chapel today from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10 in St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill with Pastor David Hansen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Philip Richardson, Bill Richardson, Allen Richardson, Jesse Richardson, Ben Kessel and K.C. Koehler. Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill or Prairie Hill-Rocky Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
