Jesse Billie Jean Cooper, 66, of Brenham, the wife of Russell Cooper Jr., died Friday May 8, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Cooper was born in Hardin, Texas on December 30, 1942, the daughter of Daniel and Delma Alford Henderson. She graduated from Hardin High School and was employed at Arthur Anderson as a purchaser manager. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Chappell Hill Baptist Church. She was a local artist who created unique Texas crafts. Her artwork was her passion and love. Her artwork as well as her spiritual kindness touched many lives. She enjoyed giving her artwork away to friends and family. She will be missed by all. Survivors include her husband, Russell L. Cooper Jr.; son, Russell L. Cooper III of Austin; grandchildren, Hayden Cole Cooper and Cody Alton Cooper; sisters, Molene Hensley and EveRay Clark, both of Beaumont; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Doris and Carl Cooper; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Eunice Bleyl, and brothers: Pete Henderson, Twain Henderson, Marvin Henderson, and Willard Henderson. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Chappell Hill with Reverend David Beckworth officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Chappell Hill. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main St, Brenham.
