Jimmie Klehm Weinman was born October 31, 1917 in Hempstead, Texas, to Otto and Annie Klehm. She passed away August 19, 2012 at Brazos Valley Hospice Care in Bryan. She graduated from Hempstead High School. Jimmie married Walter James Weinman on November 29, 1939. She was a homemaker and helpmate on the rice farm in Brookshire and on the farm in Gay Hill when they moved to Washington County in 1955. She was a member of St. Peter''s Lutheran Church in Gay Hill where she was very active as long as her health permitted, having been Sunday School Superintendent for a number of years. She was active in the auxiliary of the Marion Mayes American Legion Post No. 455. She loved her church, her family, and her flowers. She wanted the farm to be a sanctuary for the birds and animals. She enjoyed playing dominoes and reading. She is survived by her son Sidney Mary Weinman of Brenham, daughter Deborah Robbie Sells of College Station; grandchildren Kristian Sharon Weinman and Travis Weinman, Kerri Brian Moore, David Stephanie Sells, and James Becky Sells; great-grandchildren Connor, Hannah, and Cole Weinman, Kinsey and Ashley Moore and Nichole Sells, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jimmie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter Rachael, and brothers Julius and Kenneth Klehm, sisters Nellie Stevens, Annie Gilbert, and Harriet Meyer. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at St. Peter''s Lutheran Church of Gay Hill, with Pastor Alan Kethan officiating, with burial in the Katy-Magnolia Cemetery in Katy at 4:30 p.m. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Teusday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Memorials may be given in her memory to Hospice Brazos Valley or to St. Peter''s Lutheran Church. Funeral arrangements for Jimmie Weinman are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
