Jimmy Wayne Schaefer, 48, died May 27, 2016.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Ernesto Elizondo, Officiant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, with a Rosary scheduled for 7 p.m.

Jimmy Wayne Schaefer was born June 14, 1967 in Brenham to Edgar and Mary Ann Meschewitz Schaefer. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Jimmy attended Brenham High School. He was a huge Cowboy football fan. Jimmy also took great pride in manicuring the lawn, and could always be counted on to help his family. He liked his Bud Light.

Survivors include his father, Edgar Schaefer of Brenham; daughter and son-in-law Laurie and Dwayne Muske of Burton; brother and sister-in-law Johnnie and Teresa Schaefer of Brenham; grandchildren Addison and Cameron Roehling; nephews Joe Schaefer, and Adam Schaefer; aunts and uncles Verna Mae and Henry Sefcik, Willie and Elsie Horak, Marilyn and Adolph Schaefer, and Billy and Betty Schaefer, as well as numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Schaefer, and grandpareants Adolph and Elsie Schaefer.

Serving as pallbearers are Joe Schaefer, Adam Schaefer, Tommy Chovanec, Matthew Chovanec, and Dwayne Muske. All Sealy Mattress employees who were Jimmy's co-workers will be honorary pallbearers.

Memorials may be directed to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
