Joe Martinez

Joe Martinez, 43, of Brenham, died Aug. 28, 2003, in Scott and White Hospital in Temple. Mr. Martinez was born Sept. 13, 1959, in Houston, TX, to Jose R. Martinez and Jesusa De Los Santos. He was a carpenter. Survivors include his son, Michael P. Martinez of Brenham; mother, Jesusa Martinez of Brenham; brothers, Guadalupe Martinez, Juan M. Martinez, Selso Martinez, Freddie Martinez and David Martinez; sisters, Olivia Sauceda, Victoria M. Perez, Mally Arrellano and Maggie Martinez; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. The funeral Mass will be offered at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4 in St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham with Father David Ivey, celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Brenham. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
