John Behne, Jr.

John Louis Behne, Jr., 60, lost his battle with cancer on July 27, 2013 in Brenham, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Born in Houston, Texas on November 1, 1952, John was the son of Chloe Marie Pierce Behne and John Louis Behne, Sr. He graduated from Brenham High School. John enjoyed trains and turning rocks into jewelry. He loved nature and animals, finding intense beauty in "little things." He was a gentle soul with a kind heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother David Wayne Behne, his sister Margaret Behne, and brother-in-law Gary Truxillo, Sr. He is survived by his sisters Susan Behne Drews and Connie Behne Truxillo, nieces Angela Drews Patterson, Laurie Truxillo, Jennifer Truxillo Blanchard, Linda Truxillo Stonestreet, and nephew Gary Truxillo, Jr. Funeral arrangements for John Louis Behne, Jr. are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W.
