John Christopher Teufel, 50, of Brenham, TX, peacefully joined our Lord Jesus on Monday, October 24th, 2022, at the age of 50, after a courageous battle with cancer. John was born on March 26, 1972 in Brenham, TX to Odis and Sandra Teufel. He married the love of his life Jessica Byers Teufel in 1995. Together they have two wonderful children, Tristan and Amy, and grandson William. He was baptized on May 14, 1972 and confirmed on August 10, 1986 both at St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem. John lived his life to the fullest doing what he loved most, spending time with family, and a loyal group of friends. John was best known for his passion for his work, his mischievous smile, and you will never meet a better story teller- true or made up! You would rarely find John at home, he was always working hard for his family, hauling cattle for his trucking company, helping out a friend, and spending time with his favorite little buddy William.
John is survived by his mother, Sandra Teufel; Wife, Jessica Teufel of Brenham, TX; Son, Tristan William Teufel and Kylie Bliznak; Daughter, Amy Catherine Teufel; grandchild William Odis Teufel, sisters Rhonda Craigen and Gaylon Mueller, Jamie Teufel and JaMichael Williams, Sister in-laws and brother in-laws, Cathy and Mike Liles, Robbie and Theresa Byers, Carolyn and Chris Wourms, and Bambi and Howie English. Nieces and Nephews,Cassidy and Matt Green and son Beau, Michael Williams, Mallorie Williams, Tiffany and Shawn Galendez, Rhett, Peyton and Beau Burk, Julia and John Tyler Espino, Ava and Koda Galendez, Lauren and Sam McBeth, Ezekiel and Anaera, Carlie English, Bodie and Stoni Robertson, Calvin and Lenley, Madonna and Maverick Liles, Cooper Liles and Hannah, Karah and Emma Byers, and Cody Wourms. Aunts and Uncles, Pat and Harvey Arldt, and Cindy and David Tharp. Cousins, Larissa and Eric Olson, Bradley and Amy Jasinski, Anthony and Erika Jasinski, Brian and Jill Arldt, Heather and Bill Marchbanks and their families.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am Thursday October 27th, at St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem. Visitation will be 5:00pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday October 26th at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
He is preceded in death by his father, Odis Teufel; sister, Amy Nicole Teufel, grandparents, Jake and Bernice Buddenberg, and Edgar and Ella Mae Teufel, mother-in-law, Madonna Morris, Aunt and Uncle, Sharon and Dewayne Jasinski.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Hold, Johnny Langston, Bobby Duncum, Jack Fisher, Don Dreyer, Craig Glaeser, Brian Miller, Beto Hernandez.
Memorials may be directed to St. James Lutheran Church, Burton FFA Alumni, Burton Education Foundation, or Industry Volunteer Fire Department.
