John Franklin Faulkner, 88, passed away April 15, 2014 in Richmond, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will be at 3 p.m., Friday, April 18, 2014 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Manvil Bible Chapel, 3230 FM 1128 in Pearland. Burial will take place Tuesday, April 22 at 2 p.m. in in Beulah Union Cemetery in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. John Faulkner was born November 17, 1925 in Champaign, Illinois to William Frank and Viva Fern Denmark Faulkner. He served his country in the U. S. Army in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater during World War II. A minister for over 50 years, Rev. Faulkner served the Lone Star Bible Church in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He was a lifetime member of the board of Sandy Creek Bible Camp in Washington, TX. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law John Paul Jack and Karen Faulkner of Burton, and David Lee and Kathryn Faulkner of Austin; daughters Linda Dworshak of Richmond, Sandra Peasland and husband Thomas of Gomez Palazio, Mexico, and Janet Brantley and husband Sam Jack of Shelbyville, Tenn.; brother, Robert Faulkner of Phoenix, Arizona, and a sister, Francis Patton of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Helen Huffstutler, a grandson, Jonathan David Faulkner, and by his parents.
