John P. Trimble, first resident of Kruse Village, Brenham, Texas, died January 27, 2011 at the age of 94. He was born Feb. 12, 1916 in Dubuque, Iowa, adopted by John and Bessie Phillips Trimble of Minneapolis, Minnesota, He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Business Administration. His career was in management and auditing for Armco Steel, Gulf Oil and Tenneco. Many assignments were foreign, in Europe, South America, and Mexico. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Kruse Village; son Guy, granddaughter Sarah and Godchild, Sally Couch. He is also survived by his extended family, David and Amanda Williams. Memorial services will be held Friday, February 4, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. in the Roberts Chapel at Kruse Village, with Pastor Lawrence Bade of St. Paul''s Evangelical Lutheran Church and Father David Ottsen of St. Peter''s Episcopal Church officiating.
