John Watts

John Richard Watts, 84 of Brenham, passed away on September 18, 2024. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 30, 2024 at Forest Park East, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.

John was born on July 24, 1940 to John Paul Watts and Emy (White) Watts in Birmingham, AL. On March 17, 1963 he was united in marriage to Marilyn Annette Knox. John served his country in the Marines. He graduated from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.

John was an employee of Boeing working on the Apollo Space Program, Space Station, Air Force surveillance plane during the Cold War and astronaut training in the Buoyancy Lab.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marilyn Watts, daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Frank Foltyn; grandchildren, Frankie Richard Foltyn and Grace Annette Foltyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, John Richard Watts, Jr.
