Johnnie Dahmann, Jr.

Johnnie "Mack" Dahmann, Jr., 75, of Brenham, died May 9, 2016, at Brenham Nursing and Rehab Center in Brenham.
The funeral service for Johnnie "Mack" Dahmann, Jr. will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Gay Hill with Pastor Skip Stutts officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 13, at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
Mr. Dahmann was born Nov. 23, 1940, in Brenham, TX, to Johnnie and Edna (Hahn) Dahmann. He was baptized Jan. 19, 1941 at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville by Pastor R.J. Weber and was confirmed April 3, 1955, at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill by Pastor Louis Kramer.
Mr. Dahmann served his country in the U.S. Army. As a farmer and rancher, he loved working with his cattle, baling hay and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters-in-law, Will and June Dahmann of Johnson City and Charles and Mechelle Dahmann of Brenham; nieces and nephews, William Keith Dahmann and wife Tonya, LaVonda Sue Renfro and husband Craig, Gage Dahmann and wife Dana, Jessica Vela and husband Leo and Christopher Janecek; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Kristen and Erin Dahmann, Colby Renfro and wife Lisa, Brooke Renfro, Jake Renfro, J.P. Dahmann, and Kaden and Madelyn Vela.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Ross Jaster, Mark Boeker, Fred Dahmann, Carl Dahmann, David Dahmann and Colton Maass.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Gay Hill or Hospice Brazos Valley.
