Jon Bertolet

Jon Michael Bertolet, 38, of Burton, Texas, son of Jon Douglas and Priscilla Garrison Bertolet and Grandson of Elmer "Bud" and Margaret "Peggy" Bertolet, Founders of TFE Company in Brenham, passed away in Richmond, KY, Sunday morning August 27, 2017.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2017 at First Pentecostal Church, 1107 Prairie Lea in Brenham, with Pastor Merlin L. Swan officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8 at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Born February 28, 1979, in Houston, Texas, he was a graduate of Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri, and was employed as a telecommunications technician with Vertical Structures, Inc. in Richmond, KY. He was baptized in the Name of Jesus in the 1980's in Life Tabernacle pastured by Rev. James L. Kilgore in Houston.

Kindhearted and compassionate, he was great at reaching out to others with a concerned heart. His 19-year-old daughter Sabrina and many others saw him as an amazing person and will greatly miss him. We all will miss him.

Survivors include his parents, Jon Douglas and Priscilla Garrison Bertolet, of Brenham; daughter, Sabrina Ruckman, of Joplin, Missouri; sister, Ruth Rachel Bertolet of Brenham; sister Judith B. Fitzgerald and husband Joshua Fitzgerald of Meridian, Mississippi with niece Verity Fitzgerald and nephew Seth Fitzgerald; brother, Forrest C. Bertolet, and wife Tricha C. Bertolet of Burton with nephews Aaron, Azic and Sammy.

Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer C. "Bud" Bertolet, Jr. and Margaret B. "Peggy” Bertolet of Brenham.

Serving as pallbearers are Forrest Bertolet, Tricha Bertolet, Matt Oertli, Dustin Gober and Henrik Abila. Honorary pallbearers are all close friends who shared special times with Jon Michael.
