Jose Hinojosa

Jose Ramirez Hinojosa, 76, widower of Humbelina Hinojosa, passed away January 9, 2008 in Brenham. Mr. Hinojosa was born April 15, 1931 in Oilton, Texas to Fermin and Herlinda Ramirez Hinojosa. On January 17, 1953, he married Humbelina Sanchez in Benavides, Texas. She preceded him in death on September 17, 1998. Mr. Hinojosa was a truck driver and a farmer. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Carlos and Kimberley Hinojosa of Alvin; Clodomiro and Rebecca Hinojosa of Odem; Claudio and Suzanne Hinojosa of Houston; Ernesto Hinojosa of Houston, and Rodrigo and Deanna Hinojosa of Tucson, AZ.; daughter Connie Mann and husband Ernie of Brenham and Nelda Hinojosa, also of Brenham; brothers and sisters-in-law Jesus and Petra Hinojosa of Mesa, AZ. And Fermin and Lucia Hinojosa of Avondale, AZ.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Chavela and David Garcia of Avondale, AZ.; Francisca Sanchez of Scottsdale, AZ.; Lupe and Mike Castillo of Glendale, AZ.; Maria Orante Chayo of Buckeye, AZ., and Maria Elodia and Tony Herrera of Greenspring, OH; grandchildren: Jennifer Mann Garza, Robin Mann, Sandra Hinojosa Garza; Michael Hinojosa, Andrew Hinojosa, Ashley Hinojosa, Dolores Hinojosa, Donna Hinojosa, Dora Hinojosa, Gabriel Hinojosa, Caesar Hinojosa, Julie Hinojosa, Jessica Hinojosa, Judd Hinojosa, Jon Carlo Hinojosa, J. D. Hinojosa, and Joshua Hinojosa, as well as 12 great-grandchildren. Mr. Hinojosa was preceded in death by his wife and by his parents. Funeral services for Jose Ramirez Hinojosa will be held Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 3 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Rev. Bob Craig officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will take place Friday, January 11 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Serving as pallbearers are Carlos Hinojosa, Clodomiro Hinojosa, Claudio Hinojosa, Rodrigo Hinojosa, Ernest Hinojosa, and Ernie Mann. Honorary pallbearers are Caeser Hinojosa, Michael Hinojosa, and Andrew Hinojosa. Memorials may be given to Hospice Brazos Valley, 302 E. Blue Bell Road, Brenham, Tx. 77833. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
