Josephine Marie Dube, 92, of Corsicana, Tx. died at Heritage Oaks West Nursing Home on October 3, 2010. She was the widow of Richard Edmund Dube. Josephine was born on January 8, 1918 to Julius and Ernstine Kaiser Lerche. Josephine was educated at the Lee County School. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church of Fedor on January 20, 1918 by Rev. G. Birkman. On March 29, 1931 Josephine was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church of Fedor by Rev. Adolph Michalk. On April 5, 1943, Josephine was married to Richard Edmund Dube by the Rev. Adolph Michalk at Trinity Lutheran Church of Fedor. Josephine worked for 22 years in the cafeteria for the Austin Public School. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Brenham. Josephine taught Sunday School at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Fedor and later became a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Austin, where she was active in the LWML and Prayer Circle. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Raymond Ray E. and Kathleen Dube of Kerens; grandchildren: Nathan Howard and Corey Ackelmire Dube, and Cameron Dube; brother Edwin Lerche of Lexington, Tx. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters: Katy Foehr, Meta, Melde, Melinda Simank and brothers Eric, Johnny, Alvin Lerche; sisters-in-law Laura Zscheck and Gertrude Zscheck. Funeral service for Josephine Dube will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in Grace Lutheran Church of Brenham with Pastors Matthew Jacobs and Walter Dube officiating. Interment will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Serving as pallbearers are Don Hurst, Morris Simank, Larry, Randall, Marcus and Ray Lerche.
