Joyce Ann Broesche, 69, of Burton, died February 23, 2015 in Bryan, losing a courageous eight-year battle with cancer. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday February 26, 2015 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Mr. Foree Grove officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Joyce Ann Broesche was born Nov. 11, 1945 in Phoenix, Arizona to Leslie Ward and Elaine Parr Butts. She completed her education, and married Donald Broesche on March 6, 1965 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg. Joyce loved to cook, and was fond of recipes calling for lots of butter. She believed that if you came to her home, you came to eat. She was a caring and giving person, always looking to help others. Favorite hobbies included arts and crafts, and she gifted friends and neighbors with her creations. Her most favorite holiday was Christmas, and she celebrated the Christmas traditions with her family throughout the entire month of December. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Donnie Broesche; sons and daughters-in-law Ron Broesche and Sonya Wright of Bryan, Kenneth and Kim Broesche, and Pat and Liz Broesche, all of Burton; grandchildren: Nicole Broesche, Emma Broesche, Noah Broesche, Colton Broesche, Laci Broesche, Lexi Broesche, and Neva Wright. Other members of her close extended family are Shannon Stripling, Rachel Rodgers, John Gross, and Brad Gross. Also surviving are sisters-in-law Joyce Lambrecht, Marilyn Rubach and husband, Bobby, and her Godchild, Brittany Korthauer Caldwell. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Ward and Elaine Butts, and sisters Barbara Rogers, and Sharon Gross.
