Funeral services for Juanelle Claude Kohl, 90, widow of Reakus H. Kohl, are scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Rev. Larry Ideker officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Mrs. Kohl passed away Sept. 30, 2013 in Brenham. Juanelle Kohl was born Feb. 3, 1923 in Electra, TX to Elbert and Essye Sims Brister. After completing her education, she married Reakus H. Kohl on Dec. 13, 1944 in Los Angeles, and cared for her family as a homemaker. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Reakus H. and Donna Kohl of Livingston, and Hubert L. and Diane Kohl of Elgin; daughters and son-in-law LaSharon and Don Thompson of Brenham, and Marion and Michael Lee of Riverside, California; grandchildren: Sherry Rios, Andrea and George Longoria, Kerry and Jason Lovelace, Rick Kohl, Charlotte and Daniel Martin, Sara Thompson, Chris and Heather Kohl, Gary Ring, Jr., Heather Davis, Steve Allen, Mary and Jeremy Meaux, and John and Renee Morris; great-grandchildren: Lauren Longoria, Tristian Rios, Matthew Murdock, Eyvye and Jaykob Mann, Zaquiri Hensen, Ashlynn Addison, Jason Lovelace, Bailee and Kelsee Martin, Dakota Allen, and Adyline and Brennan Morris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reakus Kohl, her parents, a son, Gary Ring, daughter, Patricia Kohl; grandsons Donnie Thompson and Nathan Ring; great-grandson Christopher Murdock; brothers Lowelle, Laurelle and Keith Brister; sisters Monty Bacon, Mozelle Stewart Schmidt, and a sister-in-law, Mariana Robertson. Serving as pallbearers are Tristan Rios, Matthew Murdock, Jaykob Mann, Doug Drake, John Dabera, and Pat Thompson. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Brazos Valley.
