Julia Helms

Julia Nan Helms of Burton, passed away on February, 20, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February, 26, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Burton with Pastor Larry Ideker officiating.

Julia was born on September 1, 1932 to Zelotes and Lourell King Lentz. She is preceded in death by her
husband of 50 years, Kenneth Ray Helms, and parents Zelotes and Lourell Lentz. She attended Burton
First Baptist Church and had a church family at Bethany Christian Church. She loved spreading the gospel
of Jesus Christ to anyone and complete strangers. She was a devoted Christian woman and loved the Lord. She also loved to fish. We will miss her greatly.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Fletcher and wife Juliana of Houston, TX, son, Stuart Fletcher of San Angelo, TX.; daughter, Cheryl Fletcher of Burton; grandchildren, Clinton Fletcher, Kevin Fletcher, Keri Fletcher Henry and husband Vernon, Justin Kates, Ashleigh Shafer and husband David; great-grandchildren Nolan and Ford Fletcher, Caroline and Henry Fletcher, Shelby and Lani Henry, Jayden Holson, Austyn Shafer, and Braelynn Shafer.

In accordance with Julia's wishes, memorial contributions should be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org or Cure for Caroline, www.cmtausa.org/cure-caroline to help children that are fighting cancer and her great-granddaughter Caroline Fletcher who is battling Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
