Karel Kay Weinert, 68. of Round Top, died August 3, 2012 in Hospice Austin Christopher House in Austin, Tx. She is the wife of Milroy Weinert. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday August 7, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Sid Roden officiating. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family and friends will be held Monday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Karel was born on December 19, 1943 to Wayland and Myrtle Leonhardt Hinze in LaGrange, Texas. She was baptized and confirmed in Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top. On June 2, 1962 Karel married Milroy Weinert at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Karel was a member of Zion Lutheran Church . She loved to shop with her children and grandchildren and she loved all kinds of animals. Karel enjoyed being with her family and especially her grandchildren. For the past months coping with her illness computer games were important. Periodically she enjoyed a game of chance and going to Louisiana. Survivors are her husband Milroy Weinert of Round Top, daughters and sons-in-law Shelly and Daniel Pietsch of LaGrange, Sherry and Robert Whitmarsh of Concord , California, grandchildren; Elyse and Ariana Whitmarsh, Kalie and Kyla Pietsch. Karel was preceded in death by her parents, sister; Marilyn Fay Hinze, mother in-law and father in-law; Alvin and Flora Weinert, sister in-law Bernice Hackmack. Serving as pallbearers are; Melvin Dallmeyer Jr., Al Duane Kunkel, Richard Wegner, Gene Leonhardt, Mark Chapman and Delphine Hinze Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are; David Weinert and Ben Huseman. Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church or Hospice Austin Christopher House, 4107 Spicewood Spring Road, Suite 100, Austin , Tx. 78759.
