Kathleen Main-Price

Kathleen D. Main-Price, age 59, of Brenham, TX passed away after a sudden illness on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan-College Station TX.

She was born on July 8, 1956 in Elmira, New York, the daughter of Peter P. and Florence E. Duarte.

Kathy "Kat" was a graduate of Ross S. Sterling High School in Baytown,TX in 1974. She retired from the Kroger Company in Baytown, TX, and enjoyed her retirement in Brenham, TX. During her 28 years at the Kroger Company she ended her career as a Regional Trainer opening new stores thru out East Texas, hiring and training personnel. She lead and volunteered for numerous charities and fundraisers from March of Dimes, Make a Wish, and United Way to many others. While in Brenham she was active in supporting her husband's business, volunteering in reading programs and numerous fundraising activities in her two grandchildren's schools. Her many years of supporting the girl scouts was of great joy to her. She believed strongly in the values they instilled in the girls and made invaluable friends. She enjoyed traveling, her many trips to "Las Vegas", out of state family trips and gatherings, and water parks with her grandchildren. She was committed to her family with boundless energy and never failed to show her love.

She is survived by her loving husband Rodney Price Sr., her parents Peter and Florence Duarte of San Antonio, TX, sister Lisa Duarte of San Antonio, TX, daughter Kendahl Main and two granddaughters Elizabeth Hynum and Emily Stone of Brenham, TX. She is also survived by her blended family members, mother in law Mildred Price of Dayton, TX, brother in law Eddie Price (Christy) of Pearland, TX, sisters in law Renee Dyrne of Spring, TX and Fain Addington of Dayton, TX, son and daughter in law Rodney Price Jr. (Margarita) of Baytown, TX, daughter Wendy Price of Independence. La., and six more grandchildren, Nicole Price, Dylan Price, Alexis Reyes, Alyssa Reyes, Alana Reyes, Alicia Reyes and one great granddaughter. She is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

A private service for family and friends celebrating Kathy's life will be held at Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St. Brenham,TX. on Saturday, April 9 at 5:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the college funds of her granddaughters Elizabeth Hynum and Emily Stone, to be arranged at later a date.
