Katie Mann

Katie Lee Mann, 91, of Trinity, Texas, died October 13, 2004, in Avalon Place in Trinity, where she made her home for the past 2 ½ years. Mrs. Mann was born August 10, 1913, in San Jacinto County, Texas, to Henry and Minnie Kate Hopkins Blanks. On March 2, 1934, she was married to Tom Mann in Huntsville, Texas. Mrs. Mann was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brenham for more than 50 years and was a member of Brenham Pilot Club. She was the former office manager for the Brenham Banner-Press. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Katy Ruth and Elwood Kettler of Trinity; grandsons, Tom Kettler and wife Anne, Joe Kettler and wife Janet and John Kettler; great-grandchildren, Jenna Kettler, Julie Kettler, Christian Kettler, Katy Kettler, Colin Kettler, Josh Kettler and Haydon Kettler; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Lilly Blanks and Milton and Bobbie Blanks; and sister, Doris Hudgins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Cecil Blanks. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16 in Memorial Oaks Chapel with Pastor Everett McCollum officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers will be Charles Moser, Pierre Roberts, Kenneth Kettler, Norwood Lange, Bill Whitehall and Bob Hart. Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.
