Kenneth Bevers

January 9, 1937 — June 25, 2022

Chappell Hill

Kenneth Hubert Bevers made his journey to Heaven on June 25, 2022, joining his sweetheart Annie who made the journey four years ago.

He will be forever remembered by his children Troy (Tracie) Bevers, Tracy (Jeff) Kamprath, and Kelly Bevers (wife of Travis who preceded his parents in death), nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, his sister and friend June Haas, and more extended family and many dear friends.

Ken was born on January 9, 1937 in Bellville, Texas to Hubert and Vertie Bevers. He met the love of his life in Mission, Texas, and they married soon after, beginning a life together for 60 years, following work in the oilfield, living in various places around West Texas, South Texas, the Houston area, and Louisiana. Chappell Hill became the home they truly loved in 1980. Ken and Ann treasured many close friendships formed through church, the real estate business, the restaurant, and most recently, the men’s fellowship meetings in their home.

Ken loved “his friend Jesus”, his family and the Chappell Hill community. During the past few days, Ken’s commitment to Jesus and to family was evident to many as they witnessed the legacy he would leave behind. His hospital room was filled with his children, grandchildren, many great grandchildren, as well as other family and friends, sharing stories and tears as he comforted and encouraged as he could.

Medical staff at every level heard about love for Jesus and family by this man who lived his life to impact others.

Ken longed to see Jesus, his Annie, his beloved son Travis and many others who have gone before him. Now, the celebration of his new life in Heaven begins. Please feel free to join the family for this celebration of life at First Baptist Church in Chappell Hill (7675 FM 2447) on Saturday, July 2, at 11:00 AM. Dress comfortably…the family will be wearing jeans.
