Kenneth Mosley

Kenneth Wayne Mosley (known by many as “Mo”), age 78, passed gently into the presence of the Lord at his residence in Brenham, TX on March 22, 2023 which was exactly one week after his wife of 61 years, Pat Mosley, passed away.  He died of complications of his broken heart.

Kenneth married Patricia Jane Pierucci on March 17, 1962 at Brenham Presbyterian Church where they’ve remained members since.  They started their family the following year, welcoming 5 girls over the next 5 years.  They always lovingly referred to them as “the girls”.

Kenneth worked for Brentex Mills all of his adult life, until retirement.  He enjoyed the friendships he made while he was on a local bowling team for over 50 years.

Some of the families’ fondest memories are of him playing as a centerfielder for the Hannath Brothers fastpitch softball team, where he played on Friday nights and traveled to weekend tournaments. He received multiple MVP trophies as well as winning numerous watermelons when hitting homeruns in the yearly Hempstead tournaments.

Kenneth was also a coach for the Brenham Little League boys as well as the All Star coach.  He eventually became a proud coach of his own girls’ softball teams for many years.

He was an avid sports fan, attending Astros games, a few Cowboys games, NCAA Final Four, MLB World Series, as well as a Little League World Series tournament.

Kenneth is pre-deceased by his wife, Patricia Jane Mosley, and is survived by “the girls” and sons-in-law: Kenni & Michael Bulger, Holly Mosley, Tracey Gandy, Amy Helmer, and Wendy and Jamie Meaux; grandchildren – Abbie Ellison, Jake Jacobs, Kenneth Helmer, Erica Love, Jarren Meaux, Thayler Meaux, Amie Morin, Makayla Meaux, Steven Gaines, Amanda Gaines, Samantha Gandy, Mallory Mertz, and more than a dozen great-grandchildren.  Their faithful dog, Daisy, will certainly miss them too.

Visitation will be at Memorial Oaks Chapel on Saturday, March 25th from 5:00 – 7:00.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 26th at 4:00 at Brenham Presbyterian Church with burial to follow at Prairie Lee Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jarren Meaux, Jake Jacobs, Thayler Meaux, Ryan Love, Gregory Ellison and Chris Morin.
