Kenneth Schiller

Kenneth Wayne Schiller, 55, of Brenham, died August 14, 2017 at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in College Station, as a result of heart attack complications.

Kenneth was born September 4, 1961 in Brenham to Erwin and Laverna (Spreen) Schiller in Brenham. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church. A graduate of Brenham High School in 1980, he worked at Blue Bell in the paint and body shop. He worked in construction for Leroy Drews Construction Co. building homes and doing repair work. Later, he became a self-employed carpenter as well as a jack-of-all-trades. Known by his friends as “Turkey”, he loved spending time helping others. He treasured time spent with his family and especially enjoyed his mother’s home cooking.

Survivors include his mother, Laverna Schiller, and sister, Shirley Schiller, both of Brenham. He was preceded in death by his father, Erwin Schiller, and an uncle, Charles Spreen.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Pastor Jill Vivroux officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Serving as pallbearers are Joseph Antkowiak, David Hellmann, Clyde Vierus, Tim Murski, Randy Klausmeyer, and Marvin Spreen. Honorary pallbearers are all close friends who shared special times with Kenneth.

Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church or to any favorite charity.
