Kermit Henry Rudloff, 77, of Shelby, died Oct. 6, 2004, at his residence. Mr. Rudloff was born Oct. 14, 1926, in Haw Creek, Texas, to Harry and Otillie Stork Rudloff. He was baptized Jan. 23, 1927, in Haw Creek and was confirmed Sept. 14, 1940, in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby. Mr. Rudloff was educated at Haw Creek School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On May 22, 1949, he was married to Corinne Hartmann in Zion Lutheran Church in Houston. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby, American Legion Post 602, Sons of Hermann, Harmonie Hall and Shelby Volunteer Fire Department. Gramps loved his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family. He also loved the outdoors, good food and the Astros. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his livestock and pets. Mr. Rudloff was the founder of Rudloff Brick and Tile. Survivors include his wife Corinne Rudloff of Shelby; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Bonnie Rudloff of Shelby; 3 grandchildren, Rachel and Brian Kubala, Beldon and Jennifer Rudloff and Cliff and Marissa Rudloff; 4 great-grandchildren, Reid and Braden Kubala and Rylee and Colton Rudloff; sisters and brother-in-law, Elvera and Alton Weiser of Shelby and Pearl Torrence of New Ulm; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marvin Rudloff; sisters, Lydia Ehrigson and Idella Weber; brothers-in-law, Paul Ehrigson, Landus Weber, Claud Nelson and Carl Torrence; and sister-in-law, Vallie Rudloff Biersdorfer. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby with Pastor Pamela Werrell officiating. Burial will be in the Shelby Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at Memorial Oaks Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8. Pallbearers will be Warren Meischen, Don Steinbach, Tom Rabb, E.J. Hartmann, Allen Neumann and Paul Ehrigson Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Leo Mueller, Merton Schulze and members of the American Legion. Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby, Shelby American Legion Post 602 or the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W.
