Kimberly Lynn Applewhite, 46 of Burton passed away April 14, 2025.
Kim was born in Victoria, TX on September 11, 1978 to Allen & Mary (Sklar) Stolz. She spent her childhood growing up in Tomball and later moved to Brenham with her family in 1992. She was a 1997 graduate of Brenham High School and later received her bachelor’s degree from Texas State University. Kim taught 6th grade at Burton Elementary School and was loved by all her students. She was not only a teacher but a mentor to her students and coworkers. She aimed to inspire everyone in her life to become their full potential, in and out of the classroom.
Kim married her high school sweetheart, Scott Applewhite on July 13, 2002 at Christ Lutheran Church in Brenham.
Survivors include her husband: Scott Applewhite; her two daughters: Avery Applewhite and Autumn Applewhite; her mother: Mary Stolz; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: David & Allison Applewhite, Bobby & Jessica Bush, Kaci & Ashford Fulmer; niece and nephew: Payton Applewhite and Addison Applewhite; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Jimmy & Tammy Bush and father-in-law: Daniel Applewhite.
She is preceded by her father, Allen Stolz and her brother, Wade Stolz.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 21 at Christ Lutheran Church in Brenham. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Calling hours on Sunday, April 20 will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
Pallbearers include David Applewhite, Payton Applewhite, Randy Dorsey, Stacy McQueen, Josh Clay and Bobby Bush.
Memorials may be given to Christ Lutheran Church, 1104 Carlee Dr., Brenham, Texas.
