Kim Elizabeth Summar, 50, of Brenham, died Dec. 3, 2006, at her residence. Mrs. Summar was born Feb. 7, 1956, in Wyandotte, Michigan, to Robert Louis and Ruth Elizabeth St. Lawrence Robertson. On Nov. 30, 1990, she was married to Rusty Summar. Mrs. Summar was a member of First Baptist Church of Brenham and the Tuesday Morning Precept Bible Class. She was the Belle Backers fundraiser coordinator and was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Rusty Summar of Brenham; her mother, Ruth Pat Robertson of Mesa, Arizona; one son, Derek McKie and fiancée Caitlin Connor of Houston; three daughters, Corynn Burton and husband James of Houston, Lauren Summar and MacKenzie Summar, both of Brenham; four grandchildren, Jamie Burton, Carisa Burton, Corey Burton and Jaccie Burton; three brothers, Kirk Robertson of Spring, Kerry Robertson of Mesa, Arizona and Keith Robertson and wife Cheryl of Warrenton, Missouri; and one sister Kristy Flores and husband Jose of Austin. She was preceded in death by her father. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7 at First Baptist Church of Brenham with Troy Sykes officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers will be Trey Lichenstein, Roy Kolar, Mike Schwartz, Don Summar, Kirk Robertson, Kerry Robertson, Keith Robertson and Jim McGary. Memorials may be given to the Children s Ministry and the Youth Ministry at First Baptist Church, 304 N. Market, P.O. Box 600, Brenham, TX 77834, 979 836-2807. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
