Kirby Carlton Adams of Brenham, Texas, was born January 10, 1992, and passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2013. The much-loved son of Linda Carlton of Houston, Texas, and Will Adams of Brenham, Texas, cared deeply about the people around him and often went out of his way to assist family, friends, neighbors and strangers. Kirby never hesitated to give a hug or lend a hand, whether it was aiding victims of a traffic accident, controlling brush fires, or assisting his elderly grandparents. He had a special talent for fixing things and making repairs. Kirby was an avid sportsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and riding horses and ATVs in the country. He worked for Rockin'' Robin in Burton, Texas, where he managed care for quarter horses, cattle and goats. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents James and Libby Carlton; aunts and uncles, Donna Carlton, Scott Carlton, Jason Carlton; his paternal grandparents, Norman Adams, Ann and Hal Smith in addition Uncle DeGraaf Adams; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham, Texas on January 5, 2014. His ashes will be scattered over his favorite diving site in Cozumel, Mexico.
