Kirsten Layne Hudson was born on July 3, 2001. She was baptized in faith on July 22, 2001 at Grace Lutheran Church by Pastor William Holzer. She confirmed her faith at Grace Lutheran Church on March 29, 2015 after instruction from Pastor Matthew Jacobs.
Kirsten lived a full while all too short life. She loved fiercely and unconditionally. She was loud, always honest, and never afraid to speak her mind and offer her opinion. Kirsten had a laugh so loud and contagious it would spread to everyone around her. She had a lifelong love of music and loved almost every genre from the Beatles to Jimmy Buffett to William Clark Green. There probably isn’t a song she hadn’t listened to. In her free time she loved singing, playing her piano, guitar or ukulele. Kirsten never met a stranger and was always willing to help someone in need. She loved her family with all her heart, and she was an amazing daughter, granddaughter and niece. She was the type of big sister every little brother wishes they had.
The love she and Joshua shared was the kind she dreamed of as a little girl. When she met Joshua she gained so many friends and her family grew. Kirsten was proud to be a member of the Brenham Firefighters Association and loved servicing her community in that capacity. She had a love for the outdoors whether she was hunting, fishing or golfing. She also loved the beach, feeling the sand between her toes, and secretly dreamed of being a mermaid. Kirsten was born with her own style and she was never afraid to show it. She loved all things hair and makeup and shared that love with others through her work as a cosmetologist. She also had a love for all things related to dill pickles. Whether it was eating them or handing out dill pickle erasers to her clients. Kirsten was a proud dog mom to her baby girl, Abbey Road.
Kirsten is survived by her Mom and Dad, Tabitha and Tim Hudson; her brothers, TJ Hudson and Jakob Hudson; her Mimi and PooPaw, Charlotte and Mike Dahmann; her Nana, Brenda Pennington; and her GoGo, Kathy Hudson; her Pop and Granny, maternal great grandparents, Dennis and Pat Meyer; her uncle, Miles Dahmann and her aunt, Shana Crawford; half sisters, Chloe Amstutz and Emily Pennington; half brother, Patrick Pennington; cousins, Colton Crawford and Blake Crawford and her forever love, Joshua Ruemke; Joshua's parents, Billy and Pam Ruemke and their respective families. Kirsten was also blessed with several great aunts and uncles, cousins, and other relatives.
