Kristine Kay Fuelberg Morris, 46, of Hockley, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at North Cypress Medical Center, in the presence of her family and loving nurses and caretakers, after a brief illness. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8 at St. Paul''s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham with Pastor Kindlee Lund officiating and John Fernandez. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. She was born June 1, 1968, in Houston, TX to Gene Arthur and Nancy Rauch Fuelberg. She was baptized in September 1968 and confirmed in May 1981 into the Lutheran faith in Houston. She graduated from Westbury High School in Houston and from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX, where she earned a B.S. in animal/horse production. On July 4, 1994, she married Raymond B. "Burt" Morris in Stephenville, TX. Kristi was an equine sports massage therapist and owned her own business, Horse Helping Hands. Her passion was horses. She won the Shetland pony raffled at the Washington County Fair donated by the Bubba Hughes Sr. family when she was five years old, and the love affair with horses began. She owned and trained many throughout her life. Kristi was feisty, funny, and a story-teller who could make ordinary events in life entertaining. She was generous and sometimes extravagant. She will be missed by those who love her. She is survived by her husband, Burt Morris of Hockley; special friend, Carrie Herrin; grandfather, Arthur Fuelberg of Brenham; parents, Gene and Nan Fuelberg of Burton; her parents-in-law, W.A. "Dub" and Brenda Morris of Stephenville; TX; brother-in-law, Jeff Morris and wife Jodie of Cross Plains, TX; aunt and uncle, Gloria and Charles Rauch of Brenham; cousins, William Rauch of Austin and Jill Rauch Rybarski and husband Robert and their daughter Peyton of Brenham; and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lydia Muehlbrad Fuelberg; grandfather, Wm. Otis Rauch; and grandmother, Ida Bell Light Rauch.
